Until that time we will continue our operation on the basis of the current mandate,” Head of OSCE Office in Baku, Ambassador Koray Targay said, APA reports.
He said Permanent Council will decide on the issue by consensus. Ambassador said the date of the meeting is not known.
“It is up to Azerbaijani government to ask and request any change in the mandate, it is nothing to dramatize. I can not say when the issue will be discussed in the Permanent Council. I can not make any predictions. There is a procedure how to elevate such request. As far as I know, the process has not started yet, only consultations are going on in Vienna. The name is not so important, the main thing is content of the mandate.”
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry sent a request to OSCE for diminishing the mandate of OSCE Office in Baku.
