Every month, every year Azerbaijan becomes more powerful but Armenia even weaker, President Ilham Aliyev

Azerbaijan is a reliable partner. Our foreign policy is a logical continuation of the domestic policy,” said President Ilham Aliyev at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of the country’s socio-economic development in the first quarter of 2013, APA reports

The President noted that the country has an impressive activity at the international organizations. “Azerbaijan is a member of the UN Security Council for the 2^nd year and says and will say its principal words at this well respected organization on all issues”.

Talking on Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict Nagorno Karabakh, the President added that Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity recognized by the international community is not, was not and will not be a subject of negotiations: “We will never permit creation of the second so-called Armenian state in the territories of Azerbaijan and will give all the efforts to solve this conflict in near future. The settlement of the conflict should be based on international law norms, four resolutions of the UN Security Council should be implemented unconditionally, occupying forces should be withdrawn from our lands”.

The Head of the State expressed that Azerbaijan will increase its political, economic, defence power: “This is our sovereign right”.

“I have no doubt. Azerbaijan will reinvigorate its territorial integrity. Each day, each month brings us closer to the victory. Every month, every year Azerbaijan becomes more powerful but Armenia even weaker,” said the President. Ilham Aliyev noted that this fact is visible to all the interested sides and organizations. “According to the history’s progress and posture, it will never be possible to Armenia to compete against Azerbaijan. Their main hopes are foreign powers, the Armenian lobby and their defenders and some states. But our hope is our own power-Azerbaijani people, truth and justice. I am sure that Azerbaijan will restore the justice and provide its territorial integrity.

The President also mentioned that Azerbaijan has become rapidly developing country from the status of undeveloped country: “During this period we have made a revolutionary reforms in the economic sphere and could strengthen our country. Today Azerbaijan and Baku is one the centers of the world. Almost every month in some cases several times in a month, international economic, cultural forums on the dialogue of civilizations are held in Azerbaijan. Baku, Azerbaijan has become one of the centers in the world. Political, regional-level issues are discussed in Baku”.

The head of the State also mentioned that The World Economic Davos Forum on the Strategic Dialogue on the Future of the South Caucasus and Central Asia was held in Baku: The international community also recognizes Baku as a regional center. This is a reality. But additionally I want to note once again that our wish, aim and done works have already exceeded regional frames. The issues, solved, and the decisions, made in Azerbaijan, have impact not only on the region but also on some processes in the continent. We have become a serious regional factor. Political initiatives can not be solved without our consent and without our national interests”
