Stressing that it is his first visit to Azerbaijan as a minister, Garibashvili said Georgia attaches great importance to the strategic partnership with Azerbaijan. He expressed his confidence that thanks to the efforts of Georgia’s new government, strategic partnership and friendly relations between the states in all spheres will be further enhanced and deepened.
Garibashvili said the fact that Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili paid one of his first visits to Azerbaijan was a good indicator of this.
Underlining ancient historical ties, friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia, President Aliyev expressed his satisfaction that the new government of Georgia attaches importance to friendly and strategic partnership relations between the two countries. The Head of State also stated that Azerbaijan will spare no efforts for further enhancement of the bilateral relations.
Touching on the cooperation between law-enforcement bodies, President Aliyev underlined the importance of further expanding joint fight against crimes and exchanging information.
