Baku – APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the delegation led by Herman Cardoso, chairman of the House of Representatives of the Uruguayan Parliament, on May 22, APA reports.
Stressing good opportunities for development of cooperation between our countries in all spheres, President Ilham Aliyev noted the role of interparliamentary relations in the enhancement of relations. The President also expressed confidence that Cardoso’s visit will be successful and will contribute to further developing the relations.
In his turn, Cardoso said that there is a great potential for the development of bilateral relations between his country and Azerbaijan in all spheres. He stated that the long distance between of our countries could not impede the enhancement of the relations.
They also exchanged views on the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
