Delivering a keynote speech, founders of the forum Stuart Levy and Perviz Khan noted that the idea to bring the people from different faiths together in the atmosphere of existence of differences in the modern world helps the emergence of common values. Speakers called Azerbaijan’s image an example in promotion of religious tolerance.
Counselor of the Embassy Mammad Talibov spoke about the ethnic and religious diversity of our country. He stressed that Azerbaijan's leadership has announced promotion of tolerance as an important part of domestic policy. As an example he cited the fact that Azerbaijan is an ideal place for international conference on intercultural and interreligious dialogue.
Talibov noted that along with other ethnic and national minorities, settled in our country, Jewish community has been living here without being subjected to discrimination, they are free to execute religious rituals and festivals in all possible conditions.
