Baku-APA. Azerbaijan's embassy in Turkey has investigated reports that the statements made by Musavat chairman Isa Gambar in Turkey have been posted on Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's Facebook page. The embassy told APA that they contacted the Turkish Prime Minister's office and Turkish Foreign Ministry to clarify the reports.
The embassy said according to the information given by the two high-level government agencies, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has no Facebook or Twitter pages. It was found out that the Facebook page that posted the statements made by Musavat chairman Isa Gambar in Turkey was fake.
Turkish Prime Minister's office told Azerbaijan's embassy that Prime Minister is concrned over the existence of fake Facebook pages named "Recep Tayyip Erdogan" and have given instructions to investigate the matter and punish those who created these pages.
The Yeni Musavat newspaper reported that the statements made by Isa Gambar in Turkey have been posted on Erdogan's Facebook page.
