Mehriban Aliyeva: "European integration has an important place in Azerbaijan's foreign policy" - PHOTO

Greeting the First Lady of Azerbaijan, Guigou said that this visit would contribute to strengthening the inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Expressing satisfaction with the development of the relations between the countries in all spheres, Ms. Guigou noted that Azerbaijan's rapid development is arousing interest and relations between Azerbaijan and European institutions are developing.

In her turn, Mehriban Aliyeva said European integration has an important place in Azerbaijan's foreign policy. She emphasized that relations with the European Union are developing and Azerbaijan is actively participating in Eastern Partnership program.

Mehriban Aliyeva also gave information about Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, stressing the importance of resolving the problem within the framework of the international law and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
