Azerbaijani delegation to attend the 54th Annual Session of NATO PA

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayevâ€“APA. The Spanish Parliament will host the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s 54th Annual Session from 14 to 18 November, Ziyafat Asgarov, Head of Azerbaijani delegation to NATP PA, First Deputy Speaker of MM told APA.
The delegation includes MPs Malahat Hasanova, Siyavush Novruzov, Gudrat Hasanguliyev and Tahir Suleymanov. The Vice Speaker stated that the session would debate resolutions drafted by NATO PA’s five committees addressing, among other topics, NATOâ€™s ongoing operations, economic reconstruction in Afghanistan, energy security, NATO-Russia relations and Kosovo.
To him, there will not be any discussions on Azerbaijan during the session.
â€œNATO PAâ€™s sessions and seminars underlined the importance of Azerbaijan many times. The subject of the session will be protection of energy infrastructures. The issue related to Azerbaijan can be discussed. Azerbaijan, as alternative energy source is one of the countries that Europe gives an importance to it,â€ he said.
