Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Tuesday that his country will receive a new support package from Canada worth $900 million, APA reports.
"Our first concern is more air defense. Protecting lives is the main thing, and Russia's ballistic missile attacks, along with its other missile and drone strikes, are terror that must be confronted together with our partners," Zelensky said in a post on X, thanking Canada and its Prime Minister Mark Carney.
The Ukrainian president reiterated that his country is preparing a drone deal with Canada, which will "come in handy." He revealed that he discussed the current diplomatic situation with Carney during their meeting, adding that Canada invited Ukraine to become one of the founding members of the Defence, Security and Resilience Bank, which is set to focus on expanding the defense industrial capacity and "battle-tested" technologies.
