Turkey’s Foreign Ministry issues statement on Moscow Declaration

Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said in its statement that Ankara welcomed the Declaration’s emphasizing of solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict through the direct dialogue and within the norms of international law and decision to intensify the negotiation process. “The Caucasian Stability and Cooperation Platform initiated by our country after the August events in Georgia, does not relate to the conflicts directly, but considers to create necessary conditions for peaceful solution to all conflicts through the regional political dialogue and mutual confidence. Establishing the cooperation between the regional countries, which will base on the mutual trust, will contribute to the implementation of Moscow Declaration’s point about the establishing of confidence between the sides”.
Turkey, as a member of the OSCE Minsk Group, will further work with the sides to solve the Nagorno Karabakh problem, which threatens peace and stability in the region, and will support the Minsk Group’s efforts, said in the statement.
