Anne Derse: â€œThe US-Azerbaijan cooperation will be further developedâ€

â€œThese elections have historical importance. Current elections demonstrated that the US is a source of inexhaustible hopes, same opportunities and equalityâ€, Anne Derse, the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan said while commenting on presidential elections held in the US, APA reports.
The Ambassador stated that two presidential candidates having big forces shared their thoughts and ideas with people during discussions prolonged for months and people elected their President.
â€œThe US will move forward with its strong position in the world henceforth. This is an obvious display of our democracyâ€, she said.
Ms. Derse stressed that the policy persuaded by her country directed to the development of peace, stability, freedom and progress.
â€œThe form will be chosen by newly-elected President and his advisers, but the purposes will remain as they were before. I think that the Government will focus on Azerbaijan, as well as whole Caucasus. There is all-round cooperation and relations between the US and Azerbaijan. Methinks, the cooperation with Azerbaijan on economy, energy security, democracy and freedom will be developed henceforthâ€, she said.
