Ambassador Fakhraddin Gurbanov meets New President of EBRD

Londonâ€“APA. Azerbaijani Ambassador to UK Fakhraddin Gurbanov has met Thomas Mirow, new President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Press Service of the Embassy told APA.
The Ambassador spoke about ongoing political and economical processes and provided information about projects carried out by now. Gurbanov touched upon successful projects realized by EBRD in our country. The Ambassador underlined that the Government focused on diversification of economy at present and it would be efficient if the Bank took such kind of projects into consideration in the years coming. The diplomat expressed his hope for arrangement of projects by the Bank in separate regions of the country.
Mr. Mirow gave information about investment allocated by the Bank in Azerbaijan for a long time and expressed his gratitude for productive cooperation. The President of the Bank stressed the participation of EBRD in various infrastructural projects implemented in the country and stated that the Bank would further expend the cooperation. The President underlined that the Bank carried out its strategy on Azerbaijan successfully and achieved successes would contribute to deepening of future cooperation. The sides have debated other issues of mutual interest in the meeting.
