Discussions conducted on sharing of responsibilities between Azerbaijani Defense Minister and General Headquarters Chief

NATO Supreme Allied Commander Transformation experts attended the discussions as well.
Experts have discussed separation of General Headquarters from Defense Ministry like in other countries, as well as changes in Defense Ministry and coinciding with NATO structures.
Integration into G structure is coinciding of Defense Ministry and General Headquarters with NATO standards. As a result of reforms, responsibilities between Defense Minister and General Headquarters Chief will be shared. Management system of Armed Forces will be established. General Headquarters will coordinate the activity of Land Forces, Air Forces and Air Defense Forces, Border Forces, Internal Forces and National Guards.
