President of Azerbaijan receives US delegation led by Deputy Secretary of the Department of Commerce John Sullivan

Baku–APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received US delegation led by the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Commerce John Sullivan on October 29. The head of state emphasized the successful development of Azerbaijan-US bilateral relation in the different fields, press service of the President told APA. President Aliyev noted that the visit of US delegation to Azerbaijan created good opportunity to discuss the issues of economic cooperation as a part of wide relationship between the two countries.
Emphasizing once more the congratulation of the US President George Bush to the President of Azerbaijan on his re-election, John Sullivan congratulated the president and delivered to him congratulations of Secretary of the Department of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez. He touched upon the World Bank report on the economic reforms in Azerbaijan. “A friendly environment for the healthy business was created in Azerbaijan as a result of programs and policy you carry out”.
President Aliyev underlined the importance of World Bank’s high appreciation of business environment in Azerbaijan and valued it as a result of successful economic policy in the country. The head of state said the main focus was directed now toward the widening of economic reforms and maximum reducing of dependence on energy factor.
