85th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey celebrated in Baku

Staff of Turkish Embassy in Baku visited the memorial of Turkish soldiers and Alley of Martyrs on Wednesday on the occasion of 85th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, APA reports. Anthems of Turkey and Azerbaijan were sounded before the memorial. Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic signed the memorial book and laid flowers before the memorial. Then Ambassador Kilic and Embassy staff visited the Alley of Honor and laid flowers before the Eternal Flame. The ambassador told journalists that Anatolian and Azerbaijani Turks jointly established the Republic of Turkey. â€œWe established the Republic of Azerbaijan jointly in 1918 and together fought for the liberation and establishing of Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan. Our 85-year old Republic is one of the long-living republics and will live foreverâ€.
