British embassy in Azerbaijan makes changes to visa procedures

Baku. Lachin Sultanova â€“ APA. British embassy in Azerbaijan has changed visa procedures. The embassy told APA that to help speed up the visa application process and provide an enhanced service to the customers, the British Embassy Visa Section will be introducing new procedures from Monday 27 October 2008. According to the new rules, all supporting documents must be submitted at the same time as the application form. Visa section staff will no longer contact applicants to ask for additional documents if they have not already provided the documents at the time of application. The Entry Clearance Officer will make a decision to issue or refuse the visa, based on the application form and any documents the citizen submits. Applications submitted without supporting documents would in most cases be refused.
All supporting documents must now be translated into English. The translations do not need to be notarised.
