Serik Primbetov: â€œKazakhstan has allocated $10 billion to eliminate the impact of the ongoing financial crisis in the worldâ€

Kazakhstan has allocated $10 billion to eliminate the impact of the ongoing financial crisis in the world, Kazakhstanâ€™s ambassador to Azerbaijan Serik Primbetov said at the roundtable on the republic Day, APA reports. The ambassador said that the money had been allocated from Kazakhstan National Fund, the assets of which made up $51 billion. Noting that preventive measures were being taken in Kazakhstan in connection with the financial crisis the ambassador said there was a guarantee for peopleâ€™s deposits. Those who have $35,000 in the banks should not worry. Speaking about the development of the country Primbetov particularly noted the support for small and medium business, activation of investment policy, adoption of new Code of Taxes, improvement of chemical and energy spheres, reinforcement of social protection.

The embassyâ€™s councilor Talgat Kaliyev regarded the maintenance of stability and friendship relations between the peoples as one of the greatest achievements of Kazakhstan. Calling Kazakhstan an island of stability the diplomat said the representatives of 130 nations were living in the country and there were 40 religious confessions. The diplomat also underlined that the education of the youth was one of the priority spheres of Kazakhstan. 3,000 Kazakh young people study in various countries of the world at the government expenditure. Speaking about the freedom of speech and democracy Kaliyev said there were 5,000 NGOs and 2,000 media outlets in Kazakhstan. MP Asim Mollazadeh noted that Kazakhstan was an important country and strategic partner of Azerbaijan. The parliamentarian said both countries were leaders in their regions and spoke about the importance of intercultural relations.
