Vasiliy Istratov: â€œExperience gained within the Minsk Group should be usedâ€

Tamara Grigorievaâ€“APA. â€œTurkey has a quite enough role in the settlement of the South Caucasian conflictsâ€, said Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vasiliy Istratov at the press conference on Thursday, APA reports. He said different formats (Minsk Group, tripartite meetings) were used in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict and added that the main issue was to achieve results. The diplomat noted that it was impossible to start the settlement process from scratch. He said big experience was gained within the Minsk Groupâ€™s framework and it was necessary to use it. â€œA number of proposals made by the Minsk Group have not been agreed between the sides yetâ€.
Istratov said that the proposal of Russia-Azerbaijan-Armenia tripartite meeting was delivered to Azerbaijan. â€œI have no information whether the proposal was accepted or notâ€. He said possibility of the meeting and its date had not been specified yet. â€œAdditional opportunities are created for the conflict solution in current situation. The situation in the South Caucasus is difficult. It is necessary to solve these problems. Everything will not be solved in itselfâ€.
