Baku. Lachin Sultanova–APA. A special center will be established in Baku to watch the voting and accounting processes of the presidential elections in the United States. The center will be opened from 6.00 to 11.00 in the morning and visitors will watch the elections on monitors installed there, US embassy told APA. The embassy sources said that they wouldn’t open polling station for the US citizens in Azerbaijan because there is no united election system in the United States. “The United States is not the unitary country. It has 50 States and every one of them has own electoral legislation. It is not centralized system. The main criterion is the individual responsibility of the voters. US citizens abroad send their votes via Internet or mail. For example, Chief of the Public Relations Department of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan Terry Davidson and his family received their ballots from the place, where they were registered in the United States and voted in all presidential, Senate and Congress and local elections”.
