Heikki Talvitie: â€œNagorno Karabakh conflict has restricted chances for solution this yearâ€

Tamara Grigorievaâ€“APA. â€œIt is early to evaluate impact of Georgian developments on the â€œfrozen conflictsâ€ in the region in detailâ€, said Heikki Talvitie, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office for the conflicts, APA reports. He said this year positive progress was observed in the Transdniestrian conflict only. â€œThe Georgian events brought the issue of status in the conflicts on the agenda again and made the acceleration of the problems solution necessaryâ€. Talvitie thinks that Nagorno Karabakh conflict has restricted chances for solution this year because of elections in both Armenia and Azerbaijan. â€œFinland, as a chair, guarantees that the conflicts will be one of the main issues on OSCE agenda. The organization has to spend much time and more energy to the settlement of the conflictsâ€.
