The country’s population decreased from 4 mln to 2 mln and suffers from poverty. Turkey will open the borders with Armenia only after its withdrawal from the occupied lands of Azerbaijan. Then they will enjoy abundanceâ€, said Turkey’s European Union Minister Egemen Bağış during his visit to Kars province, APA reports.
Bağış also mentioned Armenia’s refusal to participate in Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Baku, and considered it as illogical: “Armenians must withdraw not from the contest, but from the occupied territories. To enjoy tranquility, they must first make a friend of Azerbaijan, stop slandering against Turkey and withdraw from the occupied lands of Azerbaijan. We also want to open borders and see Armenia in richnessâ€.
