Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov visits Australia

Press service of the Foreign Ministry told APA that during the visit Khalafov met with Head of Infrastructure of Sydney Airport John Dordano, Azerbaijani community, General Manage of Growth and Emerging Markets at Australian Trade Commission David Landers, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Dennis Richardson, Secretary of Department of Infrastructure and Transport Mike Mrdak, leadership of Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association, Minister for Resources and Energy and Tourism Martin Ferguson, leadership of WorleyParsons energy and resources company, leadership of ANU Centre for European Studies and other officials.

Development prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and Australia, mutual investments, energy cooperation, opening of Azerbaijani embassy in Australia and opening of diplomatic representation of Australia in Azerbaijan, as well as educational cooperation were discussed at the meetings.

They exchanged view on regional and international issues, underlined the importance of strengthening the cooperation within the international organizations.
