Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Resolution of European Parliament on association agreement negotiations between Azerbaijan and the European Union is next achievement of our Diplomacy

According to E. Abdullayev, adoption of the resolution, touching Nagorno Karabakh conflict, is a confession of the world society on necessity of finishing occupation in Azerbaijani territories â€œThis is historically important document for Azerbaijanâ€.

The Resolution adopted today reads that European Union respects territorial sovereignty of Azerbaijan and Armenia and unsolved Nagorno Karabakh conflict prevents stability and development in South Caucasus. The resolution also calls EU to participate actively in solution of the conflict.

Resolution adopted by the European parliament reflects Armenian forcesâ€™ withdrawal form occupied territories and returning IDPs to their homelands.

According to the resolution, Azerbaijanâ€™s election to UN Security Council is good opportunity to conduct consultations between Azerbaijan and European Union
