“The protocols on environmental effect in the trans-boundary context, protection of the biodiversity and protection of the Caspian Sea from land-based pollution are being elaborated now. Besides, the littoral countries are considering the international agreements on protection and rational use of biological resources, as well as the documents of the hydrometeorology of the sea.â€
The ambassador said that there are certain progresses in the negotiations on the Caspian legal status. Three summits have been already held on this issue and the next summit is expected to be held in Russia but it has not been scheduled yet.
