The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan received delegation headed by Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation

Baku-APA. President Ilham Aliyev received delegation headed by Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation on April 9.
The Head of the State noted that relations between Russian Federation and Azerbaijan are developing dynamically and issues on expansion of cooperation in political, economic and humanitarian fields are solved successfully.

The President underlining importance of bilateral relations noted that visit of V. Matviyenko will serve expansion of relations between Russia and Azerbaijan in different directions as well as in inter-parliamentary cooperation.

In her turn, Ms. Matviyenko noted that productive discussions for development of the bilateral relations were held within her visit to Azerbaijan.
She noted that President Ilham Aliyev granted with â€œUnityâ€ order by CIS Parliamentary Assembly for his support strengthening cooperation among organization states and she presented the order to the Head of the State.

Ilham Aliyev, expressing his gratitude for top order of organization, assessed this order as a value given to Azerbaijanâ€™s activity on expansion of the cooperation among CIS states.
