Presentation ceremony of book on geopolitical development of South Caucasus countries held in Baku - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

The book entitled â€œSouth Caucasus 2021: oil, democracy and geopoliticsâ€ was published in English by the Center for Strategic Studies under Azerbaijanâ€™s President and Jamestown Foundation. The book consists of articles by 13 authors on four themes.

The book was edited by President of Jamestown Foundation Glen E. Howard and Pro-rector of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy Fariz Ismayilzadeh.

Addressing the presentation ceremony of the book, Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Studies Gulshan Pashayeva said the book contains articles about energy routes, regional conflicts, demographic changes and migration. She said the materials for the book were collected in 2008-2009. The authors of the articles are experts from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Russia, US and experts of Armenian ancestry.

Pro-rector of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy Fariz Ismayilzadeh said the book was published as a result of the analysis of the developments in the countries of the region within 20 years and prospects for the next 10 years.

President of Jamestown Foundation Glen E. Howard underlined that Azerbaijan plays an important role in the development of the South Caucasus.
â€œ3/4 of the regionâ€™s economy falls to Azerbaijanâ€™s share,â€ he said.
