MHPâ€™s parliamentarian representing Igdir Sinan Ogan presents bill on recognition of Khojaly genocide to Turkish Parliament

Baku â€“ APA. Sinan Oghan, parliamentarian from the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) representing Igdir, submitted to the Turkish parliament the bill on the recognition of Khojaly genocide, APA reports. At the press conference held at the parliament Sinan Oghan mentioned the bill passed by the French Senate criminalizing the denial of the so-called â€œArmenian genocideâ€, he underlined the importance of recognizing the Khojaly genocide and said he submitted to the Turkish parliament the relevant bill.

The bill envisages recognition of the genocide committed by Armenian in Azerbaijanâ€™s town of Khojaly and declaration of February 26 as â€œDay of Commemoration of the Khojaly genocideâ€. The bill also offers to erect monument to the victims of Khojaly genocide in Igdir, Kars, Ardahan, Agri, Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Kocaeli, Manisa regions. Ogan said that he would make a speech in connection with Khojaly genocide and the genocides committed by Armenians in Turkey during the discussion of current issues at the parliamentâ€™s meeting which will be held tomorrow,
