The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that the next phase of strikes against Iran has ended, CENTCOM says.
It was reported that during the operation carried out on July 14 at 10:00 PM US East Coast time, dozens of military facilities near the Strait of Hormuz and in the coastal areas of Iran were hit.
According to the report, US fighter jets, drones, and Navy ships used high-precision munitions to strike Iran's missile and UAV infrastructure, naval capabilities, and coastal defense systems.
CENTCOM said the goal of the operation is to further weaken Iran's ability to threaten international merchant shipping and civilian crews in the Strait of Hormuz.
The command noted that the strikes were carried out after the US resumed its naval blockade against ships traveling to and from Iranian ports that day.
