Baku â€“ APA. Within the framework of the cooperation of the Center for Strategic Studies with various research centers in France, the book â€œAzerbaijan â€“ the country striving for Europeâ€ was published at L’Harmattan publishing house. CSS told APA that the book speaks about the history and present of the relations between Azerbaijan and Europe, it is the final result of the studies of Azerbaijani and French researchers and scientific figures on various themes.

The book pays special attention to the history of the relations between Azerbaijan and Europe, the development of economical and diplomatic relations with the various European nations and countries, analyzes integration of Azerbaijan into Europe. The book also notes that Azerbaijan, located on the historic Silk Road, has become a strategic partner of Europe, after gaining independence, the country restored the role of historic bridge between the East and West and became Europeâ€™s energy partner.

Studies in the book cover various themes on the development features of Azerbaijan after independence, the prospects of the countryâ€™s economy against the background of the production of energy resources and Azerbaijanâ€™s foreign policy in the environment of regional geopolitics.

The book especially focuses on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, its history. The book pays special attention to the history of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which is a major threat to peace and security in the region, the development of ethnic relations, the real causes of the conflict.
