President Ilham Aliyev: “Azerbaijan supports Serbia’s longing to join the AGRI project”

Baku – APA. “Azerbaijan-Serbia relations have been at high level at all times.” President Ilham Aliyev made this statement in the press conference after signing of the documents between Azerbaijan and Serbia.
The head of state said that over the past few years the relations have become more dynamic and effective”. Recalling last year’s visit of the Serbian President to Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev stressed that that visit gave a strong impetus to bilateral relations. “Our dialogue has a strategic character. Our relations are multisided”, - President Ilham Aliyev said and expressed his wish that the format of the bilateral cooperation would be strengthening in all spheres. The head of state said that there are sufficient projects that enable to connect the Balkan region with the Caspian and Caucasian regions.
President Ilham Aliyev said that the agenda of the bilateral relations is sufficiently extended. Talking about the AGRI project, the head of state stressed that Azerbaijan supports Serbia’s desire to join this project. President Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan’s hydrocarbon resources are currently exported to the world markets via 7 oil and gas pipelines. The head of state also said that Azerbaijan is interested in co-operation with Serbia in the field of energy.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that the documents, which had been signed today, would
give a new impetus to the development of the cooperation.
