Iran has no chance of resuming efforts to develop nuclear weapons, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News, APA reports.
"They have absolutely no chance. We have forced them into a complete retreat," the US president said.
Trump sharply criticized the policies of previous US administrations regarding Iran's nuclear program.
"Obama sided with Iran, and as a result, they became stronger. They became much stronger during the Obama and Biden administrations. Biden probably had no say in the matter," he said.
The US president claimed that Tehran continued working toward developing nuclear weapons even during the period of the nuclear deal.
"Iran was only minutes away from obtaining a nuclear weapon. If I had not canceled the Iran nuclear deal, they would already have nuclear weapons now," Trump added.
