"We participate in numerous international summits dedicated to the media, journalism, and communication. However, the Global Media Forum held in the city of Shusha is of special importance for the Turkic world," President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoty Raimkulova said, APA's correspondent dispatched to Shusha reports.
She noted that this is why the speech delivered by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the forum made a special impression on representatives of the global media community, statesmen, and representatives of international organizations.
"In his speech, the President comprehensively emphasized the important role of modern mass media in the life of society, in strengthening peace, and in building international mutual trust. These remarks were warmly welcomed by all of us participating here.
Holding such a magnificent international event in the Karabakh region, in the city of Shusha, is also of particular significance. We witnessed the large-scale positive changes taking place in Azerbaijan. The new residential neighborhoods, cultural, educational, and scientific institutions, as well as modern infrastructure being built in Shusha, Aghdam, Khankendi, Khojaly, and Lachin are vivid indicators of Azerbaijan's revival and rapid development," she said.
