Boris Tadic: â€œAzerbaijan is Serbiaâ€™s important partnerâ€

Baku â€“ APA. â€œAzerbaijan is an important partner of Serbia. Itâ€™s very important to strengthen the relations of our countries in political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheresâ€, APA reports.
Serbian President Boris Tadic stated in the meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev during the talks of two countriesâ€™ extended delegations. Serbian president once again clarified the position of his government related to Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
B. Tadic said that his country is interested in Azerbaijani companiesâ€™ participation in Serbiaâ€™s transport infrastructure as well as other areas: â€œThis may be related to the agricultural sector as well. Serbia is also interested in using Azerbaijanâ€™s transport-transit potentialâ€.
In his turn, President I. Aliyev said that Azerbaijan-Serbia relations are rapidly developing: â€œIn terms of discussions of various projects, such kinds of meetings are very important.â€ The head of state said that the mutual trust exist between two countries, and noted that the political relations are at high level, and the cooperation in the field of the energy has good prospects.
President I. Aliyev once again noted Azerbaijanâ€™s position on Kosovo problem.
Azerbaijani President expressed his hope that intergovernmental commissionâ€™s activity would contribute to development of the relations.
