Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia for the European Unionâ€™s External Action Service meets with chairmen of opposition parties in Azerbaijan

Press and propaganda secretary of Azerbaijan National Independence Party (AMIP) Ali Orujov told APA that chairman of Musavat Party Isa Gambar, APFP chairman Ali Karimli, AMIP chairman Yusif Bagirzadeh, chairman of Azerbaijani Democratic Party (ADP) Sardar Jalaloglu, chairman of Azerbaijani Liberal Party (ALP) Avaz Temirkhan and chairman of Umid (â€œHopeâ€) Party Igbal Agazadeh participated in the meeting.

The socio-political processes, the situation of fundamental freedom, activity of political institutions, as well as the issues on democratic changes in the country were discussed with EUâ€™s authoritative officials.

The leaders of opposition parties drew their concern from the current situation in Azerbaijan to the European guestsâ€™ attention and underlined the importance of international community to broaden its efforts towards the elimination of established problems.

They exchanged view around other issues of mutual interest.
