The sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and EU, regional energy projects.
Elmar Mammadyarov underlined that Azerbaijan’s energy projects aim at supplying the world markets with additional energy resources and prefers diversification in delivering energy resources. Noting that the sides signed a document on energy during the visit of President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso to Azerbaijan in January, Elmar Mammadyarov underlined its importance.
Gunther Oettinger said Azerbaijan plays an important role in Europe’s energy supply and noted the importance of continuing the cooperation.
The sides exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest.
