Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed at a press conference that the memorandum signed with the United States has entered a stage of crisis, APA's Tehran bureau reports.

Baghaei said Iran had never been the initiator of violating its commitments and had approached all negotiations seriously while taking its national interests into account.

He noted that Iran had always implemented the agreements reached in good faith.

"The Americans did not even allow the one-month term of the memorandum to be completed and began violating it from the very first days," the spokesperson said, referring to what he described as the US' failure to fulfill its commitments.

Baghaei stated that the provisions of the Islamabad memorandum are no longer valid.

"The United States has effectively rendered 14 provisions of the memorandum inoperative. We stated from the very beginning that commitments are fulfilled only on a reciprocal basis, and we have demonstrated this in practice. As long as the other side continues to violate its obligations, Iran will also refuse to fulfill its commitments," he said.
