They informed the participants of the fair about the tourist places of our republic, distributed materials among them.

The press service of Azerbaijani embassy in Korea told APA that Armintour (www.armintour.com) travel company represented Armenia at the Korea World Travel Fair.

Azerbaijani embassy in Korea found out in the travel brochures distributed by Armintour company that Khankendi and Shusha, Azerbaijan’s occupied towns, had been added to the route organized to Armenia. The organizing committee of Korea World Travel Fair was immediately appealed in connection with it, meeting was held with president of KOTFA organization, the organizer of the fair. It was noted that travels to the occupied Azerbaijani territories both on the state and private level run counter to the international law and violate the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

The embassy underlined that such an action of the Armenian side undermines the image of any international exhibition, including Korea World Travel Fair, asked to remove the brochures from the Armenian stand.

The Korean side said the position of Azerbaijan was understandable, inclusion of the occupied territories into the routes and dissemination of their advertising brochures were inadmissible.

The Korean side also said the brochures would be removed from the Korea World Travel Fair, their dissemination by Armenians in other international fairs planned to be held in Korea (the 14th Busan International Travel Fair, September 2-5, 2011) would be prevented.

The embassy did not see the above-mentioned brochures while viewing the Armenian stand again.
