International Women Leadersâ€™ Conference finished in Israel â€“ PHOTOSESSION

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA. International Women Leadersâ€™ Conference entitled â€œScience, Technology and Innovation: Education and Training for Womenâ€ finished its work in Haifa, Israel. According to APA, Haifa Declaration was adopted at the end of the conference.

The final declaration of the UNESCO-supported conference called on all governments and countries to make better efforts toward increasing of womanâ€™s role in science, technology and innovation. Participants of the conference noted that inaction of women in these fields has negative impact on gender equality.

Member of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ganira Pashayeva held a series of meetings on the final day of the conference.

MP informed the conference participants about the acts of vandalism committed by Armenia in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, violation of the rights of one million Azerbaijanis displaced from their homelands as a result of Armenian occupation, genocide and tortures committed by the Armenians against the Azerbaijani people during the occupation, thousands of Azerbaijanis taken hostage and captured by the Armenians. She said tens of Azerbaijanis are still in hostage and captivity in Armenia. She also informed the participants that 9-year-old Azerbaijani child was killed by an Armenian sniper in Aghdam region of Azerbaijan on March 8 â€“ International Women Day this year.

Ganira Pashayeva presented books, printed materials and documentaries about the realities of Azerbaijan and invited the participants of the conference to Baku.
