Roland Kobia: “EU considers Azerbaijan as a reliable partnerâ€
Roland Kobia said religious tolerance historically existed in Azerbaijan and the state and religion were separated in this country. In his opinion, there is a progress in the field of democracy in Azerbaijan, but the countries with newly-declared independence need in long years to establish full democracy.
Answering the APA correspondent’s question “How do you see Nabucco’s future?†the diplomat said: “Europe is a good market for all exporters. The customers have a high ability to meet payments there. EU considers Azerbaijan as a reliable partner. Europe has to increase the import due to decrease of its hydrocarbon resources, but diversification issue has also to be in the focus of attention. Regarding the Nabucco project, it has two parties: Azerbaijan and EU. Only these two parties have a right to make decision on the projectâ€.
Then the diplomat answered the questions of participants.
