Manouchehr Mottaki: Iran is ready to offer necessary assistance to Azerbaijan and Armenia for the peaceful solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict

Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. Iran supports peaceful solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict and is ready to offer necessary assistance to Azerbaijan and Armenia, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said at the briefing in Yerevan, APA reports quoting Armenia media.
“Azerbaijan and Armenia are Iran’s neighbors and friends. We are living in the same region, our goal is to ensure peace and security in the region. We all remember the August happenings in Georgia in 2008, it must not be repeated in the region,†he said.
He added that he had discussed the Nagorno Karabakh conflict with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
