The Ukrainian military has said that another 12 vessels belonging to Russia's "shadow fleet" operating in the Sea of Azov were struck overnight into July 10, APA reports, citing the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces (USF).
It was reported that the strikes were carried out as part of an operation launched on July 6 against Russia's oil export infrastructure.
According to the information, the targeted vessels belong to the "shadow fleet" used to transport oil and petroleum products in order to evade international sanctions.
According to the USF, within four days since the launch of the operation on July 6, one out of every four vessels in the Sea of Azov has been destroyed or damaged. The most successful night of the operation was July 9, when 14 vessels were struck.
The Ukrainian side noted that 50 vessels belonging to Russia's "shadow fleet" have come under attack over the past few days.
According to the information, on July 10, in addition to tankers, strikes were also carried out on the ports of Taganrog and Azov, where the tankers were loaded.
