An official reception and concert were held at the Gulustan Palace to mark the Day of Azerbaijan's Diplomatic Service on July 9, MFA told APA.
High-level representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and several state agencies, members of the Milli Majlis, as well as heads and representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Azerbaijan attended the reception.
During the event, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov, Assistant to the President and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev, and Moroccan Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammed Adil Embarch delivered speeches. They congratulated members of the diplomatic service on their professional holiday and wished them success in their future endeavors.
The speakers highlighted the vital role of diplomats in implementing Azerbaijan's pragmatic foreign policy and promoting and protecting the country's national interests at the international level. They also reviewed key foreign policy achievements, discussed future priorities, and noted the contribution of diplomatic personnel to strengthening Azerbaijan's international standing.
It was emphasized that the diplomatic service has a crucial role to play in implementing the foreign policy pursued under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
The official reception concluded with a concert.
