Azerbaijani deputy FM pays working visits to Utah and California

Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov paid a working visit to the U.S. states of Utah and California on July 7–9, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told APA.

During the visit, meetings were held with Utah's political, educational, and business leaders, as well as representatives of technology companies.

As part of the visit to Utah, Deputy Minister Elnur Mammadov held working meetings with President of the Utah Senate Stuart Adams, Jack Gerard, a member of the Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, University of Utah President Taylor Randall, and Miles Hansen, President of the Stirling Foundation, where they discussed prospects for practical cooperation.

Elnur Mammadov also addressed representatives of Utah's business and technology companies at the World Trade Center Utah. The event was organized by Franz Kolb, Director of Trade and International Cooperation at the Office of the Governor of Utah, and Jonathan Freedman, CEO of the World Trade Center Utah. He spoke about Azerbaijan's strategic role and business opportunities.

During his working visit to California, Deputy Minister Elnur Mammadov met with Ned Finkle, Vice President of International and Government Affairs at Nvidia headquarters, where they discussed potential areas of cooperation.

In addition, the delegation led by Elnur Mammadov familiarized itself with Nvidia's work on the role of artificial intelligence in public administration, the impact of digital transformation on citizen services, and opportunities for implementing innovative technologies.

The delegation also visited the Artificial Intelligence Center in the city of San Jose, where the sides exchanged information on the public administration and citizen services provided by Azerbaijan and the city.
