Nearly 484,000 tons of sulfur and related cargo were transported by Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) in January–June 2026, up more than 31% compared to the same period last year, ADY told APA-Economics.
According to the information, the volume of sulfur transported in transit increased by more than 30%, rising from 369,000 tons to 483,000 tons. The majority of this volume consisted of alkali metals and metalloids, while approximately 8,300 tons were newly introduced crude sulfur cargo.
