Today, a meeting of the Economic Council chaired by Prime Minister Ali Asadov was held, APA reports.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the first item on the agenda was the draft State Program on Tourism Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026–2030, including tourism development prospects and key priority measures. The second item was the draft program on "Development of the Mining and Metallurgical Industry: Current Situation and Prospects until 2030," as well as other current economic issues, which were discussed in detail.
As part of the first agenda item, Council members heard an extensive presentation by Chairman of the State Tourism Agency Fuad Naghiyev. On the second item, a detailed presentation was delivered by Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov. Members of the Economic Council and invited participants also addressed the issues presented.
At the end of the meeting, decisions were adopted to submit the drafts of both state programs discussed on the agenda to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and relevant instructions were given to the respective institutions.
