Real Madrid have cancelled the press conferences scheduled for Friday evening ahead of the Copa Del Rey final against Barcelona on Saturday, APA reports citing Managing Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti and Luka Modric were scheduled to appear before the media for the press conference on Friday at 7:15 pm local time, before it was announced by the RFEF that it is not scheduled to take place anymore.
There is a war going on between the referees and Real Madrid right now. VAR Gonzalez Fuertes talked about RMTV’s videos on referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea in their press conference earlier on Friday. Shortly after that, Real Madrid deemed it to show impartiality and requested to the RFEF to get the referee changed.
It is not yet confirmed whether the match will actually take place tomorrow, according to reports from Relevo and Jose Felix Diaz.
Real Madrid’s lawyers are currently preparing an official statement that is supposed to go out shortly, as reported by MARCA.
