Eintracht Frankfurt have named Dino Toppmöller as their new head coach, following Oliver Glasner's end-of-season departure after two years in charge, APA reports citing the official website of Bundesliga.

Toppmöller, who worked as Julian Nagelsmann's assistant at RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich, has signed a three-year deal through to 30 June 2026.

The 42-year-old inherits a Frankfurt team that won the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League and subsequently made it to the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League last 16 on their competition debut. The Eagles recorded 11th- and seventh-placed Bundesliga finishes on Glasner's watch, whilst also reaching the recently ended season's DFB Cup final, losing to Leipzig.

"It was only a matter of time till Dino worked as a head coach in the Bundesliga. We're pleased to have brought him in with his expertise, deep understanding of football and his high interpersonal competence," said Eintracht director for sport Markus Krösche. "I've followed Dino's journey for a long time and got a first-hand view in Leipzig of his way of working, shaped by a good tactical understanding and analytical ability.

"It was no surprise that Julian Nagelsmann took him with to Bayern. The way he plays football fits with our philosophy. And as a former Eintracht player, who speaks fluent English and French, Dino will have no problems quickly finding his feet in Frankfurt."
