Galatasaray defeated Kocaelispor 1-0 in a home match of the fifth round of the Turkish football championship, APA reports.
Abdülkerim Bardakci scored in the 71st minute. The Turkish defender scored after a pass from Russian midfielder Alexei Batrakov, who scored his first goal for Galatasaray.
Batrakov appeared on the field in the 59th minute. This was his fourth match for the Turkish team, which he joined on August 20. He previously played for Moscow's Lokomotiv.
Galatasaray has 13 points and leads the Turkish league table after five rounds. The team's next match is away against Trabzonspor on September 19.
