Jordan Football Federation did not accepted AFFA’s proposal on holding international friendly march on August 22, AFFA National Teams Department Chief Bahruz Asgarov told the APA-Sport Agency.
Jordanians did not state the cause of their refusal.
Asgarov stressed that they want to send invitation to Montenegro’s team after the refusal of Jordan.
“We have invited main and 21-aged Jordanian team to Baku. We do not now the cause of their refusal. We will probably send fax to Montenegro Football Federation today,” he said.
Montenegro which is the member of FIFA and UEFA will not attend the official matches in the nearest one year. AFFA taking this emptiness into consideration will send their proposal to Montenegrin football organization.
Asgarov said that they have not yet received reply to the invitation they sent to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for carrying out friendly match on September 12. Jordanian team is the third team which has refused to meet against Azerbaijan on August 22. Before it, Lithuanian and Macedonia Football Federations took the analogical step and rejected AFFA’s proposal. /APA-Sport/
