AFFA will appeal to Republic Prosecutor’s Office on FC Neftchi leadership’s protests against former FIFA referee Imankhan Sultani, AFFA assistant president Eleddin Agayi told APA-Sport.
Agayi said AFFA officials had a meeting with Sultani today.
“We invited Sultani to AFFA and asked him for the reason of protests. He refuted all rumors and called them slander. He said the phone talk was a montage”, he said.
Sultani sent a letter to AFFA president Ramiz Mirzeyev to help for investigation of the issue. AFFA leadership decided to attract law and enforcement bodies. Sultani’s appeal and a letter and a disc presented by Neftchi will be sent to Republic Prosecutor’s Office.
Neftchi complained of Sultani’s biased refereeing in the match with Olimpik. The phone talk between Sultani and unknown person was recorded. 30,000 USD was promised to the Sultani for biased refereeing against Neftchi. /APA-Sport/
